LEVEL MUSIC 3-2: Scorching Chamber by MAXO.
One of the most inspiring sets of music I have ever heard, MAXO’s tunes are so full of color and personality with nothing but his collection of SNES soundfonts. Originally intended to be a soundtrack for a video game, the LEVEL MUSIC collection is divided into smaller volumes, or stages, which will certainly bring you on a journey through those worlds.
I dare you to listen to this and not imagine an epic, fiery adventure.
Real human being, and a real chiptune cover
Gundersonmunderson created the graphics, animation, and music for this fun video. He emulated the Sega Genesis’ Yamaha YM2612 chip for this arrangement of College & Electric Youth’s “A Real Hero,” which you should remember from the soundtrack for Drive.
BUY Drive, Music from Drive
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Max “Maxo” Coburn! One of my favorite chiptune artists and I have the pleasure of knowing him!
This is just one of many tracks from his LEVEL MUSIC compilation, which can be found for free at http://maxolevelmusic.blogspot.com , or throw him a few dollars at http://maxoisnuts.bandcamp.com <- (There’s also a lot more to listen to there, as well!)
I’m terrible at actually reviewing music because I know nothing about it, but I can honestly say this is some inspiring stuff. So much art. So good.
SOMEBODY JOIN AND DJ WITH ME, FOUR OPEN SLOTS YOU GUYS
Alls you need is music from or relating to video games. Crazy Zelda remixes? Totally okay. 8-bit boops straight from Ducktales? ALSO COOL.
AY-Riders and Yerzmyey’s remix of t.A.t.U.’s 30 Minutes, as seen in the We Are the Strange trailer.
I wanted to start this blog ages ago, but I had no idea HOW to start it, since there are so many great tracks. It was very hard to pick just one, so I decided to go for the very first non-video game chiptune track I ever heard. It was mindblowing hearing “video game music for something that’s NOT a video game!” for the first time and it opened up a whole new world for me. Enjoy! <3
So hey I started a chiptune blog and am in the process of queuing up posts for the next week or so. If you like chiptunes you may enjoy??? I’ll try to provide a nice blend of originals, remixes, and game soundtracks. :D
The music in this game is sooo good, I can’t even. ;w;
(=n_n)b first ever music video premiere!!
There are few things that could make my day better than it already is. This is one of them.
